Singular Combination
Candlestick and Betty Lamp

Probably Pennsylvania, ca. early to mid 19th century.
Long ago, a blacksmith joined the upper portion of a hogscraper candlestick with the pan of a betty-lamp holder to create a versatile candle and oil lighting device.
Joinery is with an iron bar which attaches to the candlestick by sidewall piercings, and peened to the top and bottom to the betty lamp tray.

About 3 ¾ inches tall x 5 inches max width. Provenance includes Greg Kramer, and a private Pennsylvania collection.
