Sweet Painted
Little Money Box    

Northeast, likely Pennsylvania, ca. early 19th century.  
Very thin, finely crackled original varnish surface on a red ground, with mustard & black labeling, all on a pine case. Subtly-domed top, original cotter-pin hinges. All original save missing the hasp.

The graphically painted MONEY BOX label makes this little box special.

Just 4 7/8 inches long x 2 ½ deep x 2 5/8 tall.
