Northeast to Mid-Atlantic, ca. 1790-1820.

In keeping with the Federal aesthetic, smaller slightly-convex oval backplates, with precisely folded edges, supporting molded candle cups on wire-form candle arms. Particularly appealing untouched soft surfaces. Original pierced hanging tabs.

Overall lengths about 13 inches from tab to candle cup; about 6 inches diameter. Provenance includes Elliott and Grace Snyder; private NH collection.
